Link Round-Up: August 26, 2013



News: Christie's Auction House is set to appraise The Detroit Institute of Art's holdings as part an accounting of Detroit's assets. According to Art Market Monitor, "the danger of the appraisal now taking place ... is that it will reveal a much greater value than the $2.5bn bandied about recently." If it's hip, it's here posted concept art for a line of Pantone-inspired pumps (high-heels).  There are surely some female graphic designer out there holding out hope these will become a reality.

In the latest entry in the Like Knows Like mini documentary series, we get to know graphic designer Tina Roth Eisenberg, best known for Creativemornings and her Swiss Miss blog.  Turns out, she's a pretty cool person, but the video leaves me with many burning questions, such as how a graphic designer with two children affords an apartment like that in New York City without selling crack on the side.
